We’re On for Memoria Day at 10

Hi guys,

So it looks like the majority of people prefer to play in the morning.  Let’s shoot for tomorrow at 10 at the Mall.  The caveat is that play MIGHT be interrupted by Memorial Day festivities.  Ryan pointed out that there’s a WW2 memorial that could prevent us from playing, but it is unclear whether it would spill over into the area where we play (unlikely in my mind).  So, some risk we get booted, but I think we’ll be fine.  See you guys tomorrow!

  1. The Poltroons are hosting their annual Washington-area Over 50s match on Sunday, June 2, at the Wild Geese’s home pitch. Any and all over 50 players are welcome. In addition to some good rugby, we’re also putting on a gourmet BBQ to be washed down with kegs of microbrew beer. Yes, Cliff will be manning the grill.

There will also be a traditional over 35 old boys match between the NOVA Old Gray and the Roosters kicking off at 12:30 pm. Whores will be welcomed and if we have enough players we might even do a round robin or second motley match. So come out and have a run and then stay to cheer on the over 50s. Bring the family, too!

Kick off for the over 50s match will be immediately following the end of the over 35s match, approximately 1:30 pm or 2 pm.

As always please respond with the position you would like to play and don’t forget to go to PayPal and pay your $20 dollar game fee (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=DP5WZBETC6LJS).

Our upcoming match against the The Burmuda Onions Touring Side has been changed from 9 June to 8 June so adjust your calendars!

    See you on the pitch!
