Saturday???

“Officially” the core DC Touch regulars are going to be in Leesburg playing a touch tournament. But there is still a large contingent wanting to play tomorrow. The only problem is I will not be arriving with cones and a ball. I know many people have a ball and, fingers crossed, one will come to play, hint hint.

Touch is on at tidal basin 10am tomorrow. But I disclaim responsibility if no one shows up with a ball

Wednesday on the Mall

We’ll play Wednesday on the Mall near Smithsonian metro stop. To be more correct we’ll use the field closer to the carousel. 5:30pm

It’s been great to see some new faces, as well as old ones coming out of hiding. If you’re just stumbling on this website now, I’ll use this as an opportunity to say we welcome all skill levels to come out and run around. The only prerequisite is a good attitude. If you’re visiting from out of town or new to the area, there is plenty of opportunity to come join us as we play three times a week and we are never short on numbers.

For all the regulars, thanks for keeping DC Touch awesome. Look forward to another hot and humid afternoon on Wednesday.

Tidal Basin Saturday

With the early heat wave this week, low 70s and breezy is going to feel downright chilly tomorrow.

There are some road closures around Lincoln memorial and west potomac park area setting up for fireworks. Give yourself a little extra time in case road closures or traffic might affect you. As of about 7pm though the main parking and field are open. See you all at 9:30am.

Wednesday, extreme heat!

We’ll play Wednesday on the Mall by the Smithsonian metro, 5:30pm. Please bring plenty of water, double what you think you might need. We want to get a few runs and have fun, but it will be prime conditions for heat stroke. Play at your own risk, and know your limits. See you all out there!

Super Stoked Saturday Srugby

Tidal basin tomorrow at 9:30am. It will definitely feel like summer, but it should be another spectacular day for rugby. See you all out there

Good luck to all our rugby friends playing Cape Fear this weekend, and good luck to the hometown Old Glory DC!
