Hey Guys,

Let me know if you’re interested in getting a DC Touch Rugby jersey.  They’re perfect for scoring tries on the pitch and for writing memos in the office.  Who needs sleeves, amiright?  If you want a jersey respond to this post with your name and your size.  The price will be $20-$25.  I’ll collect money at rugby over the next week or so.

Naturally, if you’re playing in the tournament it would be nice to have a jersey.  We would look like a much more cohesive unit with everyone donning the blue and whites.  But, it’s not necessary.  The most important thing is that you sign up for the August 27th tournament! (See previous post for details.)

Rugby’s on this morning.  It’s supposed to start raining around 10:00-10:30.  We should be able to get in a good run before the rain starts.

Thunderstorms are a decent possibility for tomorrow.  I’m going to make a decision around 8:00-8:30 in the morning about whether we’re going to play.  Keep on the lookout for a posting.

AND, sign up for the tournament!  We’re playing on Saturday Aug 27th in Virginia.  You can sign up by responding to Tuesday’s post about the tourney.  It’s going to be a good time plus there will be food.  Hard to pass up, so don’t!

Rugby’s on for Wednesday as usual.  6:00 pm, 15th and Independence.  Cones, balls, etc. needed.

Also, as you all saw, there’s a rugby tournament scheduled for the last weekend in August.  Sign up soon so we can start putting teams together and hopefully get jerseys to everyone (should be about $20 per person).

Rugby’s on tomorrow for 9:00 a.m.   It’s going to be pretty hot out tomorrow (near 90 by 11:00) so bring your sunscreen and lots and lots of water.

As has been the case recently, I have no equipment so if you’ve got the cones or a rugby ball, bring ’em.

It’s getting hot and we’re going to do what little we can to beat the heat.  That means starting rugby a bit earlier at 9:00 a.m.  For all those who are mildly annoyed by the modest time change heed the immortal words of my former rugby coach Tony Brown:  “Stop whining.”
