Wednesday on WW2 memorial side of Washington monument 5:30

It’s still soggy and drizzly out, although should be mostly clear by this evening. Also didn’t warm up as much as anticipated, but still warmer than Monday. Get out your winter gear and come for a run. Sun is setting faster and faster so get out early to get your run in.

Monday is a Maybe

Weather reports are conflicted on whether there will be rain. It will be chilly with a strong breeze, but if it looks like the rain will hold off or be very light we’ll play.

I’ll give it until about 3:30 to make the final call. If we play it will be between Washington monument and WW2 memorial at 5:30pm.

Saturday touch on WW2 side of Washington monument 9:30am

Well it looks like Hurricane Ian is breaking up. There should be a fair amount of rain overnight, but only 50% chance of light rain tomorrow. It will still be chilly and windy, but the weather forecast isn’t adverse enough to stop us from getting a fun run in. Be ready to get a little wet and bundle up for a preview of winter.

Tidal basin will be soaked, so to avoid tearing it up (plus the rangers will kick us off anyway) we’ll play between WW2 memorial and Washington monument. Map below

Monday touch on the tidal basin 5:45pm

After a brief fall preview, we’ve got a summer day on our hands. Temp should cool off slightly by the afternoon, and there is a fast moving storm headed our way that could bring some light scattered showers. Umbrella recommended just in case.

Try to be early and ready to run by 5:45. With the shrinking daylight we have limited time and want to make the most of it. Start time is probably going to go back to 5:30 starting next week.
