It looks like flag football is done for Mondays so we’ll rotate back to the tidal basin. It will be hot and humid.

It’s going to be warm and humid. Sorry for the disruption last weekend with low turnout. This weekend has a few people out as 15s start back up, but we should have plenty of people out and ready to run.

There is a chance of scattered rain, but it will still be pretty warm out.

Thanks to Galaxy DC for organizing a great touch tournament over the weekend! Ian did a great job cobbling together a DC touch team. It was a great chance to show how competitive and athletic this group is. Sorry for any disruptions to our regularly scheduled Saturday touch routine.

We have the permit for Wallenberg tomorrow, but there is also a touch tournament at RFK fields that will take several people away. There are still at least a dozen plus people that have been coming regularly that aren’t in the tournament, and I’m sure you’re all going to be ready to play in the spectacular summer day tomorrow.

The only catch is someone needs to bring a ball. I haven’t confirmed anyone bringing one yet. Usually multiple people have them, and if you read this I recommend bringing one just in case.

Finally a stretch of good weather. A great day to come out for a run. Bring your turf shoes or be prepared to go barefoot in case the park ranger happens to be patrolling.

It should be another beautiful day out. Perfect for playing on the plush grass in the shadow of the Washington monument.

Congratulations Scion women on another 7s National Championship! It’s a bonus that so many of those talented women come out to run with DC Touch.

It’s going to be a glorious day for touch! Humidity is finally going to be reasonable and temp warm but not too hot. Bring a tasty beverage or two to enjoy after or on the sidelines.

Good luck to the Scion women and a handful of Beltway men playing in 7s nationals this weekend! We’re all rooting for you.

The weather seems to have shifted in our favor. Probability of precipitation dropped significantly during our run time, and though still high, the amount of rain expected has dropped from moderate to light-ish. You’ll still have soggy feet and probably get rained on, but it will be fairly warm, and no downpours.

There is almost certainly going to be some heavy rain and flooding from 4-6p this afternoon. There is still at least 90% chance of moderate rain the whole time we would play from 6-8p. However it will still be warm and most of the lightning and heavy rain will be over.

The final decision will be around 4 today whether we are playing or not. If we do it will be on the WW2 side of washington monument on the side field at 5:45pm
