We’ll play at the tidal basin at 9:30am. Some of our more ambitious regulars will be playing in the Roosters 7s tournament up the road in Potomac, but we should still have plenty of people for a good run, and great weather for it too!

The Roosters tournament is from 12-6 and has various age divisions from middle school on up. If you feel like cheering on some teams and watching 7s rugby after touch, the details are below

It’s been good to see new faces, and fingers crossed we’ll have more guest appearances by friends in the greater rugby community. After a long year of COVID it’s been great to have people, new and old, coming together again to enjoy some touch.

I totally failed to predict the mini-monsoon on Monday, so I don’t want to stick my neck out too far with a weather prediction. As of this writing it should be a warm summer afternoon, but…..I’m still bringing an umbrella.

It should be another warm one, but hopefully some cloud cover to block the sun. We’ll play at the tidal basin at 5:30pm

Apologies to anyone who showed up Saturday and didn’t know we were relocated to Mall due to groundskeeping. Hopefully nothing unexpected pops up tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Thanks to everyone who represented DC Touch in the Galaxy Invitational tournament on Saturday. What a strong performance, especially for a social team to learn plays and be under the more stringent rules and refs.

Big congrats to Galaxy for winning the tournament and creating an opportunity to play a tournament.

Most importantly, touch is on Monday at 5:30pm at the tidal basin. See you all there.

“Officially” the core DC Touch regulars are going to be in Leesburg playing a touch tournament. But there is still a large contingent wanting to play tomorrow. The only problem is I will not be arriving with cones and a ball. I know many people have a ball and, fingers crossed, one will come to play, hint hint.

Touch is on at tidal basin 10am tomorrow. But I disclaim responsibility if no one shows up with a ball

We’ll play Wednesday on the Mall near Smithsonian metro stop. To be more correct we’ll use the field closer to the carousel. 5:30pm

It’s been great to see some new faces, as well as old ones coming out of hiding. If you’re just stumbling on this website now, I’ll use this as an opportunity to say we welcome all skill levels to come out and run around. The only prerequisite is a good attitude. If you’re visiting from out of town or new to the area, there is plenty of opportunity to come join us as we play three times a week and we are never short on numbers.
