Touch rugby this Saturday: 9AM START!

Hi team,

It’s that time of the week when you are more than ready to start thinking about the weekend! What better way to kick it off (excuse the pun) with a nice and EARLY game of touch rugby?

Yes that’s right, summer seems to be fully upon us and to avoid the near 90 degree temperatures this Saturday morning, we’ll rally the players for a game at 9AM (same place).

You got it, 9AM instead of 10AM this week.

Let us know if you’re in with a “the early bird catches the pop pass” or a “sleep sounds better than awesomeness”. See your sweaty-selves out there on the field!

NB: If there is huge backlash to starting an hour earlier, or if people generally like playing in the scorching heat, then we can work with the start time. However usually we start at 9AM in the summer and push it back to 10AM in the winter so consider 9 our “normal” start time!

We’re On for Memoria Day at 10

Hi guys,

So it looks like the majority of people prefer to play in the morning.  Let’s shoot for tomorrow at 10 at the Mall.  The caveat is that play MIGHT be interrupted by Memorial Day festivities.  Ryan pointed out that there’s a WW2 memorial that could prevent us from playing, but it is unclear whether it would spill over into the area where we play (unlikely in my mind).  So, some risk we get booted, but I think we’ll be fine.  See you guys tomorrow!

Memorial Day Play?

Hey all,There’s been some interest in playing tomorrow.   I’m trying to get a feel for timing so if you can make it tomorrow, respond with an “In” PLUS what part of the day might work best, “Morning” or “Afternoon”.  I’ll tally everything and see where things stand.  Right now, I’m in for the morning, afternoon’s a possibility.  Let me know how you guys feel.

And, as always, we’re very welcoming of new players.  So newbies (to the game, or to playing with us) feel free to join in!

Perfect weekend for rugby

Hey all,

The above pic shows a perfect day–expect one just like that this Saturday.  72 and sunny with low humidity.  Can’t ask for better conditions.  Let’s get out there and play some rugby!

You know the drill:  Respond with “I smoke while playing rugby” or “I have weak lungs and need ‘fresh’ air”.  Or you can just say “I’m in”  or “I’m out”…
