Hey Guys,

I’m considering putting touch on hold this Saturday due to the conflicting schedule of international rugby matches on TV. Many of us will want to watch the games instead of playing because it’s going to be VERY cold on Saturday morning, and because many of us love to see the UK get beat down by their counterparts in the Southern Hemisphere. Still, others may want to skip the live broadcasts and play. I’m not sure where preferences lie so let me know by responding to this post with one of the following options.

Option 1–Go to Fado’s, eat, drink and watch the international matches that begin at 9:30. We’ll decide there whether playing rugby on Sunday morning makes sense, or skip this week altogether and just play the following week.

Option 2–Skip watching the international matches and just play as we normally would.

Option 3–If possible, one of us records the matches to be watched later in the day or on Sunday, and we play on Saturday as we normally would.

Let me know what you all think.

Here’s the schedule of games on Sunday:
9:30am: England vs South Africa (Cover Charge: $20)
12:30pm: Italy vs Argentina
3pm: France vs Australia (Cover Charge: $20)
5pm: Wales vs Fiji

if you want to practice some skills and strategy, arrive at 9:00.

Bring a ball and cones. I don’t have them with me this week.

AND, for those interested, please come at 9:00 am for a bit of skills and drills practice. There’s some talk about wanting to play the other local teams competitively, so if we can get a dedicated few, we can move things forward.

Last, I’ve got someone’s black sweat pants. They say Jackson something on the side. They were left on the field a couple of weeks ago. I gathered them, and CLEANED them. You’re welcome… Let me know if they’re yours, otherwise, they’re going to Goodwill soon.

Hey Guys,

So I thought we might have one more Wednesday in us, but the combination of intermittent rain showers today and the 6:19 sunset doesn’t present the best rugby-playing conditions. The situation won’t improve going forward so no more Wednesday rugby this year. We should get our Wednesdays back around April.

Saturday’s looking perfect, though. There was some discussion about heading out a bit earlier for those who wanted to improve their skills and learn a bit of strategy to prepare for some potential competitive matches against the other local teams. If you’re interested, respond to this post. We’ll set something up, perhaps meet at 8:45 or 9:00 ahead of the regular meet up time of 9:30. I’ll be there for sure.

Rain is iffy for the next few hours and the ground is certainly saturated so lets hold off for tonight.

Weather isn’t looking great guys. I’ll send out a blast around 4:30-5:00 and let everyone know whether we’re on.

The ground’s gonna be soggy, but it’s not raining anymore and shouldn’t rain over the rest of the day.

Secured the cones, but I don’t have a ball. Someone make sure to bring one. In fact, just respond to this post to confirm that we’ve got one. The one I thought I had is nowhere to be found, so I’m in the process of getting another. In the meantime, someone else will have to bring one. Shouldn’t be hard. We usually have 3-4 each week.

If it’s raining and crap weather, I may cancel, but the forecast looks decent at the moment.
