No Rugby Tomorrow

Hey Guys,

The weather’s not looking so great for tomorrow so I’m cancelling rugby.  It’s going to rain, but it’s a little difficult to determine now whether it’ll start during rugby or after.  Still, I’m not going to play weather monitor up until the last minute either.  Better to just hold off until next week.

Also, this time of year there’s crap weather pretty frequently.  So for any newbies out there, get acclimated to more sporadic play over the winter.

See everyone next week.

Saturday at the bar, Sunday on the pitch

Okay, so it seems like there’s some interest in watching the games on Saturday and playing on Sunday, so let’s just do that.  For those not too embarrassed to be drinking at 9:00 AM (or for the marathoners that will just continue Friday night’s boozing) lets meet at Fado’s in Chinatown to watch UK get trounced by the Springboks (I believe the match begins at 9:30.  Also, there’s no particular reason why I’ve been hating on the Brits in these posts, but it feels right so I’m just going to continue riding that wave.  Eagles in 2015!!!)

For Sunday, let’s stick to a similar schedule.  Meet at 17th and Constitution at 9:30.  See ya’ll then.  I’ll try to send a reminder post on Saturday evening.

Three options for Saturday. Let me know your thoughts.

Hey Guys,

I’m considering putting touch on hold this Saturday due to the conflicting schedule of international rugby matches on TV. Many of us will want to watch the games instead of playing because it’s going to be VERY cold on Saturday morning, and because many of us love to see the UK get beat down by their counterparts in the Southern Hemisphere. Still, others may want to skip the live broadcasts and play. I’m not sure where preferences lie so let me know by responding to this post with one of the following options.

Option 1–Go to Fado’s, eat, drink and watch the international matches that begin at 9:30. We’ll decide there whether playing rugby on Sunday morning makes sense, or skip this week altogether and just play the following week.

Option 2–Skip watching the international matches and just play as we normally would.

Option 3–If possible, one of us records the matches to be watched later in the day or on Sunday, and we play on Saturday as we normally would.

Let me know what you all think.

Here’s the schedule of games on Sunday:
9:30am: England vs South Africa (Cover Charge: $20)
12:30pm: Italy vs Argentina
3pm: France vs Australia (Cover Charge: $20)
5pm: Wales vs Fiji
